International Journal of Development Education and Global Learning

This new internationally refereed journal publishes the outcomes of research and current debates on development education and related concepts such as global learning, global education and global citizenship more

Race Equality Teaching

Race Equality Teaching, the only practitioners' journal devoted to race equality in education, is more essential than ever. After 30 significant and successful years of leading international debate and reporting good practice in education equality, the journal now has a special remit to help teachers to respond to their statutory obligation to promote racial equality and eliminate discrimination in their schools.

International Journal on School Disaffection

The International Journal on School Disaffection is being relaunched with new editors and a new format.

Edited by Linda Graham and Ross Deuchar with Geoff Bright, but with former editors Gwynedd Lloyd and Gillean McCluskey providing some continuity on a new and prestigious Editorial Board, this is a peer reviewed international journal that does not lose sight of its practical value, combining theory with models of effective practice.

The only journal of its kind, IJSD is a forum for multi-disciplinary dialogue about the issues and challenges associated with marginalised and potentially disengaged children and young people.

It represents the perspectives, theories and insights of academics and scholar practitioners from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds, and particularly those whose research interests fall within education, youth studies, sociology, mental health and criminology.

The journal publishes articles on issues and theories surrounding school disaffection and the wide range of strategies, both individualised and structural, that are being used around the world to keep children and young people from becoming disengaged from learning.

Its priority remains to support work which seeks to engage and re-engage them and to further develop critical and scholarly debate around school disaffection.

Dr Linda J. Graham is an Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Research Fellow and Senior Lecturer in the School of Education, Macquarie University, Sydney. Professor Ross Deuchar is Director of Research and coordinator of the ‘Youth, Social Justice and Inclusive Education’ network at the School of Education, University of the West of Scotland.
